Our Goal Personal Development Self Development to fulfill the Responsibilities This department is in charge of training members to work in their, self-development. Working on self-evaluation and development through reading and expanding knowledge. Weekly classes are also given by local units to keep up.
Major Activities for Tarbiyah include:

Tarbiyh & Tazkiyah

Tazkiyah means Purification and in Quranic terminology it refers to the cleansing of the human Self from all that is undesirable. It also includes nurturing (Tarbiyah) and strengthening of all the qualities that are essential for self development.
Success and Happiness in this world and the Hereafter depends on the purification and nurturing of our personality.

 Allah SWT says “By the Soul, and the proportion and order given to it; And its enlightenment as to its wrong and its right.Truly he succeeds that purifies it, And he fails that corrupts it!”(Shams : 6-10)
Also the Purpose of the Prophet hood of Muhammad SAW mentioned in the Quran was the same i.e.

• Inviting Mankind to God (Dawah)

• Motivating them to commit to Allah, taking Shahada whole-heartedly (Organizing)

• and then Tazkiyah and Tarbiyah of those who are ready for the Commitment.

It is He Who has sent amongst the Unlettered an apostle from among themselves, to rehearse to them His Signs, to sanctify them, and to instruct them in Scripture and Wisdom,- although they had been, before, in manifest error. (Jumuah:)

Purpose

To assist each other in Tazkiyah of our souls.
To facilitate the process by creating opportunities and forums for it.
To establish the Tarbiyah System (Education and Self-Development) for Native Sisters who are associated with ICNA.
To build the foundation of ICNA Sisters Wing from the mainstream society.

Members meeting

Every alternate month Tarbiyah department will be conducting members’ meetings online. The meetings will have interactive programs on practical applications of the syllabus, how to give dawah, comparative religion inculcating Islamic culture, etiquettes in the family, masjids etc

Tarbiyah camps

Tarbiyah Camp will be held in Toronto, Mississauga and Windsor

Tarbiyah Classes

Buddy System
To build a beautiful relationship of sisterhood amongst all the members of Sisters wing. Through this system inshallah we will be creating harmony amongst sisters and try to inculcate regularity in salat, regularity in study of Quran, Hadith and Islamic literature and many other aspects in order to enhance our personalities. There will also be an evaluation of the progress of our buddy system in meetings and email.


Syllabus
The goal is to have a quarterly syllabus moulded according to the needs of the English speaking. Also the local units are required to carry books (for MGA, members, syllabus, book club etc.) in the regional bookstores and all camps and programs.


Circulars
Circulars in English will be distributed on such topics as, 1) Establishing salat (guidelines for improving regularity, khushoo, our report form etc.) and 2) How to start and set up a local unit (dawa, organization, training, practical steps and stages).
We invite all the sisters who want to Join us in our efforts and Volunteer for any of the above mentioned Planned Tasks for Usratul Maria… May Allah Help us through this enormous responsibility, Ameen.
